Loaded Gun

This song is a strong contender for my Sunset Sound recording session. I love playing solos over the middle and outro sections. The middle solo I was definitely pulling from Warren Haynes and the outro

I started slipping into my Robert Fripp mode. I like trying to draw from 2 different stylistic guitar approaches for solos in a song. It makes it interesting. I hope you like it.

She waited for you til after the show

Waited for the lights to get real low

Old blue eyes was spreading the news

The old bartender knew this boy was about to lose

Nobody told you that she's a loaded gun

Nobody told you that she's a loaded gun

Off she goes

You took her back home, be safer that way

Pulled her in close when she whispered your name

It felt like she wanted you like no one had before

Better open your eyes boy, she's about to bring in the storm

Nobody told you that she's a loaded gun

Nobody told you that she's a loaded gun

Off she goes

She's coming on strong, killin the fear

She makes you feel good then things start to disappear

Ain't it a shame, the way it has to end

But that's the way, when the bottle's your only friend

Nobody told you that she's a loaded gun

Nobody told you that she's a loaded gun

No

Off she goes

Off she goes

Off she goes

Off she goes

Dude, these songs sound great.  If you didn't post the videos showing you recording them at your house nobody would know they weren't recorded in a full on pro studio with a band.  I love those Warren bends at 2:43 and the change in intensity at that starts at 3:13 is very cool!

Thanks Hex! This song is a lot of fun to play leads to. The song I’m working on now is gonna have some slide solos. It’s tentatively titled “Hustle and a Plan”.
