This song was heavily influenced from listening to a lot of Alice in Chains and Black Sabbath the last couple weeks. I experimented more with the vocal harmonies on this one. I also used an ADT plugin, by AIR Plugins, that creates the doubling effect on the vocals. I used a variety of reverbs, delays and tape effects. I used the UA Sound City plugin for some of the reverbs and Soundtoys plugins for the other crazy effects. The crazy reggaeish delay ending the first section was done with the Waves Eddie Kramer Tape Delay. I automated the feedback to maximum and it sounds pretty cool.
Hope you dig this one!
I'm tracking a new song this week, It's called "The Ranger". It's a tribute to my High school buddy, SSG Joe Suponcic. Joe was KIA in Kosovo while serving with the special forces. I think about him every year at this time. Miss you Joe!
Merry Christmas Everyone!

Trapped inside these prison walls the Scarlet Woman sent me here
A twisted plot come to fail The Shepherd gone I am alone
Life ticks away every day there is no chance for absolution
I look inside my troubled mind for the path to get back home
There's nothin' I can do to get to you
I'm just an Echo of a Man that's fallen too far
An Echo of a Man that's fallen too far
Don't let me go, don't let me go, don't let me go, No!
No sunlight in just dust and grim Forgotten Son losing power
I reach down deep no last retreat this epic story isn't over
To my surprise with broken eyes I see a light under the door
It opens wide with death outside the Scarlet Woman stands before me
I've got one last chance to get to you
I'm just an Echo of a Man that's fallen too far
An Echo of a Man that's fallen too far
Don't let me go, don't let me go, don't let me go, No!
What's the woman want to let me get away?
What's the woman need to let me get away?
What's the woman want to let me get away?
Let me get away?
Get away...
Feed my heart it's so hungry for all your fears
Taste my lips they've not been touched in many years
Many years, many years, Oh many years!
Many years!
I'm just an Echo of a Man that's fallen too far
An Echo of a Man that's fallen too far
Don't him go, don't let him go, don't let him go, No!
