Was doing this Pre-Buy a mistake?

Was doing this Pre-Buy a mistake?

Well, we’ve got 2 weeks to go with this Pre-Buy.
We’re at 35% of the goal. The Pre-Buys have definitely slowed down the last couple days.

Was doing the Pre-Buy a mistake? Will I be unable to finish this EP? Ugh….

The answer is NO and YES!

The Pre-Buy, so far, has been one of the most daring moves I’ve attempted in my 51 years on this planet!

If I didn’t do the Pre-Buy, I would have finished the title track to my EP, “The Archetect”, but then I would still be saving to do the next song. It would take me 3-4 months to save up for the second track.

As it stands today, I’m sending the next song to my drummer Matt today. Then to Jorgen Carllson for bass and then to Evan Bakke at the Power Station studio for mixing. We’ve raised enough money in the Pre-Buy to get the next song done ✅

So NO! The Pre-Buy wasn’t a mistake! I’m really proud of myself for taking a chance and I’m really GRATEFUL to my Pre-Buy crew for taking the chance with me.

As to the second question, will I be able to finish this EP? The answer is YES!

I make things happen! There is no plan B! The EP will get finished!

It might take me a little longer. I might not be able to get the tracks professionally mastered. I might have to look for a less expensive cd maker.  I might not be able to pay for artwork for the cover. I’ve actually gotten a couple comments about the artwork I did on Canva for the Pre-Buy. My old buddy John told me he liked the design. John and I were in Jack’s Farm together. John made a really cool logo design for that band.

So it might take me a little longer to get the cd’s made and I might have to cut some things from the budget but the EP will be finished and finished WAY sooner than if I didn’t do the Pre-Buy.

Starting this Pre-Buy felt like lighting a fuse to shoot off a rocket to Pluto! We’ve passed Jupiter and I can see Saturn. I’ve got the controls set for Pluto and beyond!
